The journey of the trip, groupon travel

Begin getaways at Mandarava, a resort and spa set on the west coast of Phuket with prime access to the glittering Andaman Sea. The contemporary property celebrates the topical location with lush vegetation, three swimming pools, fountains and palm trees decorating the grounds. Groupies stay in a Tropicana Room complete with natural-toned furnishings, modern décor and private balconies. The rest of the resort provides many opportunities to relax outside rooms, with a fusion of restaurants, pool bars serving up fruity drinks and the onsite spa letting guest unwind in a paradisiacal location.

After five nights travellers are transferred to Bangsak Village to spend the remainder of their holiday in Khao Lak on Thailand’s mainland. The pristine Andaman coastline sets the scene for a quiet getaway where guests unwind and get back to basics while staying in the lap of luxury. The Alocasia Rooms are furnished with neutral, distressed pieces, crisp linens and plenty of corners to retreat for the afternoon with a good book. An outdoor infinity pool beckons holidaymakers on warm days, while the spa and wellness centre offers a menu of traditional and modern therapies.

Part 2: Groupon Travel

A melting pot of religions, experiences and of course international tourists, Phuket combines everything that can be expected of a tropical island destination and puts it all into overdrive. Idyllic beaches and lush forests are juxtaposed against the hectic energy of Patong, often referred to as the party capital of not just Thailand but the whole of Asia. Just a short hop to the south of this lies Karon, famous for its pristine beach and proximity to all the action of Patong without being in the thick of it.Travellers can simply enjoy the idyllic nature of Karon Beach during their stay or venture further afield to get a full taste of Phuket. Many restaurants, shops and beauty salons compete for attention in the area, with even more situated close by in Patong. This is where folks go for that frenetic Phuket experience, where hawkers tempt tourists with handicrafts, silk scarves and sarongs by day and clubs, bars and cabaret venues enchant party people by night. Simon Cabaret is renowned as one place not to be missed, with its dazzling show a feast for the eyes and ears.

On the other hand, Khao Lak is an even quieter alternative with its white sand beaches, slow-paced life style and picturesque natural surroundings. Exploring jungle-clad mountains and boat rides through limestone peaks are activities of choice, along with undisturbed relaxation on unspoilt shores.

Scuba dive or snorkel at nearby Similan and Surin islands, admiring the array of vibrant coral and sea life. Those feeling active partake in a trek through famous Lam Ru National Park, which boasts walking trails that wind through dense rainforest to open out on stunning waterfalls and mountain vistas. Then visit Takuapa Old Town and admire Sino-Portuguese architecture and charming shops, before heading to Takuapa Market and River Plaza in the new town to shop and chat with locals.

Yes, its a 33 minute drive more or less depending on the traffic.

Uluru

This post is all about Uluru, now i recently went to Uluru so I am very excited to share my experiences with you.

Uluru

Uluru

This is a breathtaking view of Uluru, do you know why the sky changes colour? Well read on.

The colour changes result from the effects of the earth’s atmosphere on the sun’s incoming rays. The ash, dust particles and water vapour present in the earth’s atmosphere act as a filter which can remove the bluer light from the incoming rays of the sun, allowing the redder light through at different times of day. Reflections from the rock and clouds in the sky enhance the vivid colours.

How tall is Uluru:

  • 348 metres high at its peak

Are there walks around Uluru? Yes

Walk around Uluru

Walk around Uluru

There is a full walk around Uluru which is ten Kilometres and a smaller Mala walk which is 2km.

The walk up Uluru is a treacherous two hours, you are lucky if it open when you visit because the park is very strict as to when you can climb up the rock. But anyway let us continue First you climb up a near vertical side of Uluru, with a chain, it’s still scary though.

Then you reach a small shelter/rock area and you think you’ve done it. Yay, but no, you realise that to get to the very top you must continue but with no chain.
